What's not to like about Conya Doss? The Cleveland native's third album in just 4 years, "Love Rain Down," contains all the elements she's known for: a pretty, yet gritty voice that exudes equal parts vulnerability and strength, writing that's honest and empowering, and melodies that are impossible to resist. It seems only a matter of time before the self-proclaimed "best kept secret of soul music" is a household name.

Since her 2002 debut, "A Poem About Miss Doss," Conya has been sharing her tremendous voice and energy with the world, and quickly carving out her niche among today's prominent soul singers. Her second record, "Just Because" came in 2004, and showed a more confident artist who had found her own voice and was charting her own artistic path.

Conya's latest record, "Love Rain Down" is easily the strongest of the three, with the singer covering more ground musically and really showing her chops as a songwriter. Highlights of the 13-song set include the acoustic groove "Tell Me Why," the heartfelt ballad, "Sign," the beautiful, hip-swaying anthem, "Find A Way," the chill-inducing, autobiographical track "Only Be Me," and the jazz-infused tune, "Why Did You."
