DaysAhead
Beautifully merging soul, jazz, and rock is an eclectic new group out
of Atlanta called DaysAhead. The group's primary members are vocalist
Kim Leachman and guitarist Steve Wright and their debut record, "Turning
Point" is a solid collection of songs that emphasize Kim's dynamic vocals
and Steve's impressive guitar skills.
In addition to crossing music genres with their unique sound, DaysAhead's
debut offers much in the way of songwriting, from sweet tales of love
discovered to calls for social and political change. Highlights of "Turning
Point" include the up-tempo love jam, "You Move Me," the lush, midtempo
track "Good Ole' Days," the rock-infused "Love Is Love," the rhythmic,
jazz guitar cut "Falling Flower," and the socially conscious anthem, "It's
In Your Hands."
Kim and Steve spoke recently about making music together, their debut
record, and creating opportunities for themselves as artists.
