Maysa Leak

Singer/Songwriter Maysa Leak has a voice that's recognized and revered all over the world. Whether she's fronting the funk/jazz group Incognito or performing as a solo artist, Maysa is, in a word, mesmerizing. The Baltimore native and classically trained vocalist caught the attention of none other than Stevie Wonder while still in college. This led to a stint in his vocal group Wonderlove, which provided the soundtrack music for the 1991 Spike Lee film, "Jungle Fever." That same year, Maysa joined Incognito, who she's been recording and touring with ever since.

During her years with Incognito, Maysa's also enjoyed a successful solo career, with five solo albums to her credit. Her latest, "Sweet Classic Soul," is a stirring set of 70s covers beautifully interpreted in Maysa's signature style. The 10-song set includes breathtaking versions of Rose Royce's"Wishing On A Star," Stevie Wonder's "All I Do," The Isley Brothers' "Don't Say Goodnight," Chaka Kahn's "Any Love," and the Major Harris classic, "Love Won't Let Me Wait."
