Deb Hinds

As the host and producer of the popular SoulTalk artist interview show and podcast and the visionary behind PlanetSoul.com, Deb Hinds is highly regarded among both artists and listeners as a champion and promoter of independent soul music.

Since starting the SoulTalk show in 2005, Deb's opportunities and exposure in the soul music industry continue to grow. Here are a few of her recent accomplishments:

Deb is an experienced writer and project manager in a variety of fields, including entertainment, corporate communications, and technology. Her professional background includes publicity writing and website management for D'wayne Wiggins (of the group, Tony, Toni, Toné), corporate communications, and website training for a large software company, and employee benefits and investment communications for a consulting firm. As a freelance journalist, she's interviewed several notable artists and entertainers over the years; including Singer/Actress Queen Latifah, Writer/Producer Yvette Lee Bowser, Singer/Actress Lauryn Hill, Singer/Actor Jamie Foxx, and Comedienne Wanda Sykes.

Deb graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Communication-Print Journalism. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, she currently lives in Tampa, Florida with her husband and two young children.


Craig Chapman

Craig Chapman is a 30+ year veteran of the music industry and President/CEO of RHYTHMflow Enterprises Inc. (RfE Inc), based in the Bronx NY, which he created in 2003. RfE Inc is the parent company for RHYTHMflow.net and RHYTHMflow Radio.

Craig's music industry career has three definitive sections. His introduction to the business began in the radio industry. Craig served as Program Director and General Manager of his college station at Springfield College in Springfield, MA. This experience led him to his first commercial radio gig in1976 at Adult Contemporary WSPR-AM, as On-Air Announcer/Music Director, along with serving as Operations/Program Director of WQXQ-AM. He also served as Program Director of Black Programming for public radio station WTCC-FM, also in Springfield, MA.

In 1984, he began the second phase of his career when he joined the regional retail chain "Nobody Beats The Wiz" as a manager in their music departments. Craig joined national music retailer TWE (FYE, Coconuts, and other brands) in 1990, before re-joining "The Wiz" in 1992. He has held the position of Department Manager, Store Manager, Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Regional Manager during his retail career.

During what is now considered phase three, Craig developed RHYTHMflow.net and RHYTHMflow Radio as a creative outlet for his passion for music. He also wanted to create an online information and entertainment destination for lovers of R&B/Soul, Jazz, and other related urban music genres being overshadowed by today's hip-hop society.. RfE Inc also supplies consulting and marketing support for independent music retailers and artists. The RHYTHMflow Experience continues to evolve with the addition of RHYTHMflow Travel, which will produce and promote music themed vacations (ie: "Jazzy Montreal"). In addition, Craig will partner with and support PlanetSoul.com.




Chai Footman

Chai Footman is the CEO of Mocha Soul Promotions, a concert promotion company serving South Florida. Past concerts sponsored by Mocha Soul Promotions include Eric Benet and the Miami Nights Comedy Reunion featuring the Marvin Dixon All-Stars.

 

Mocha Soul Promotions will be kicking off a quarterly concert series beginning with the PlanetSoul.com Launch Concert and Party with Eric Roberson on January 26th.

 

Chai is also the host and producer of Mocha Soul Cafe, a weekly radio show on Miami, Florida station WTPS 1080 AM.
